To avoid the chaos of swimming championships, at the Bon Air pool, next Monday night, the Troop has decided to meet over a the new St. Michael’s “Singleton” campus. We will meet there for our regular 7:30 – 9:00 PM Monday night meeting. While there are several ways to get to that campus, here are directions that bring you down Stony Point road (the road beside the Ukrops at Stony Point):

Everyone who is a member of this site has the ability to post an announcement related to Troop activity. If you would like to post such, you can do so with relative ease. You simply need to sign into the site, go to the "Content" menu option, on the left side, and click on "Announcement." You will be prompted to enter an announcement title and message. Optionally, you may add an attachment. Once you have completed your entry, you simply click the submit button and the announcement will immediately appear on the website. And, it will be sent in the next EBlast.

I have posted a short video that will walk you through the proecss. It is under the "How To" folder under the Files menu option on this site. Of course, you must sign into the site to view it.

The "Old Google Calendar," on our Troop website, has been updated through August 2010. The actual weekend activities have not been entered, but the dates have been marked. Other dates, such as school holidays, Scout Sunday, Scouting for Food, etc. are all on the calendar.

The Scouts are working on their requests for activities and which we'll review at the Troop picnic in August.

Just a reminder that the Ukrop's Golden Gift Certificate Program expires soon! This program benefits non-profits organizations like Troop 840. If you, or someone you know, participated in the Golden Gift Certificates program last March, your "Points Rewards" will have arrived in the mail in May. Please concider donating your points to the troop. Ask your friends, neighbors, and family to concider donating to the troop as well. Please gather the point reward cards and bring to the next troop meeting. This program expires on June 13th, so, please get the reward cards to the troop treasurer right away. Thanks!
